Conflict is a normal part of life. It happens with friends, in school teams, at work, online, and in families. What matters is what we do next. Mediation is a safe and structured way to talk, so people can understand each other and agree on a realistic plan.
This course is the opening gate of our full mediation program 🔓. You will learn the big picture and a small starter toolkit 🧰. You will not become a fully trained mediator from this course alone. After you finish this intro, you will continue with the next courses to build your full skills step by step 🚀.
What you will learn in this course 🎯
By the end, you will be able to:
- explain what mediation is (and what it is not)
- know when mediation is a good choice (and when it is not safe or suitable)
- use a simple 5-step mediation map
- set basic ground rules and understand consent
- recognize basic red flags and understand key ethics ideas (choice and confidentiality)
- write a clear agreement (who–what–when)
- use 3 simple mediator sentences to keep conversations calm and clear
- understand how emotions, stereotypes, and cultural differences connect to mediation
How the course works 🧩
- Short micro-lessons
- One short activity after each lesson
- 5 short videos
Your progress: the Spider Chart 📈
You will complete a spider chart twice: at the start and at the end. This is not a test. It helps you see your progress and notice which skills you want to strengthen in the next courses.
A safe learning space 🤝
There are no grades here. Use examples that feel safe for you. If a topic feels too personal, choose a lighter situation (school, group work, a team chat). You can pause and come back anytime.
Ready? Let’s start your mediation journey. 🚀
